Meet Chris.

Chris Clow is a lifelong comic book fan, and a writer with work appearing on websites like Batman-On-Film, Movies.com, Modern Myth Media, the Huffington Post, and Fandango. Starting by writing comic book reviews for Batman-On-Film (BOF) in 2006 at the age of 18, Clow was able to parlay his fandom first into a job at a Pacific Northwestern comic book store (Bellingham, WA's Comics Place), and eventually into professional writing jobs talking about the characters and stories he’s always been passionate about.

In 2008, Chris began podcasting for the BOF crew, and helped the site cover San Diego Comic-Con International in 2008 and 2009, including interviews with the cast and crew of Iron Man 2Kick-Ass, and Watchmen. He was charged with interviewing the likes of Zack Snyder, Matthew Vaughn, and Chloë Grace Moretz. He then served as a regular panelist on the Modern Myth Media podcast until it ceased regular operation.

After beginning writing for Movies.com in 2011 upon the recommendation of BOF's founder Bill Ramey, he represented the site on the set of Christopher Nolan’s trilogy finale The Dark Knight Rises that summer interviewing cast and crew, and eventually became one of the site’s primary go-to comics enthusiasts, as well as the site’s appointed Star Trek expert during the lead-up to both 2013's Star Trek Into Darkness and 2016's Star Trek Beyond. He continues writing for Movies.com every week with his column Comics on Film.

He then served eventually as another website's senior editor, where he wrote on daily topics of geek-related entertainment news, as well as reviews for movies, comics, television shows, and video games. He stepped down in 2015 largely due to the site's mismanagement, and took on a new opportunity at a Chicago-based publisher of business news media, where he would also become an associate editor on the 2018 Harper Collins book Beyond Broadway Joe: The Super Bowl Team That Changed Football.

In 2017, Chris also started a new podcast dedicated to CBS All Access' new series Star Trek: Discovery alongside co-hosts Rachael Clow, Zaki Hasan, and Cicero Holmes called Discovery Debrief: A Star Trek Podcast.

Comics on Consoles is Chris’ unique opportunity to meld two of his passions – comics and video games – into a regular discussion outlet, and we hope that you enjoy listening to each new episode of the show!
